2019 International Forum

on NanoScience and Applications?

?Innovative applications enabled by nanotechnologies are a significant driving force of global economy development, which has been connecting closely the capital and industries. We have invited some keynote speakers to discuss recent hot topics on the future of micro and nanotechnologies.

The chairman will be Professor Zhang?Xiang, an elected member of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and of Academia Sinica, a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,?and the president of the University of Hong Kong,?who invented many ground-breaking technologies, including the first optical super lens, the first optical negative index metamaterials, the first optical invisibility cloak and the first plasmonic laser. Three other keynote speakers?are internationally renowned in nanotechnology and industry. The talks will focus on recent hot research directions?on new materials, optoelectronics, micro/nano manufacturing. This forum is intended to?also?provide opportunities to exchange ideas on next generation economy, to encourage new collaborations in research and business, and to foresee future standards of nano-industry.?

微納科技創(chuàng)新應用是全球經濟發(fā)展的重要源動力，納米材料應用也是連接資本和產業(yè)的重要載體。此次論壇邀請了數位主講人對有關微納技術未來發(fā)展的近期熱門話題進行討論。在納米技術應用和商業(yè)化方面取得開創(chuàng)性進展的數位科學家應邀參加此次論壇并同時分享他們的研發(fā)創(chuàng)業(yè)故事。

本次論壇由三院院士、香港大學校長張翔為論壇主席，張院士是眾多突破性技術的發(fā)明人，包括第一個光學超級透鏡、第一個光學負折射率超材料、第一個光學隱形斗篷和第一個等離子體激光器。同時受邀的3名院士都是納米科技或產業(yè)的大成就者，會議將聚焦于新材料、光電子、微納制造等前沿熱點方向進行深度交流。此次論壇希望能提供新的經濟增長戰(zhàn)略參考點、為科技界點睛學術突破點，為工商界勾勒產業(yè)發(fā)展路線圖。
