文化是旅游的靈魂，旅游是文化的載體，從古至今密不可分。自古就有李白，杜甫等偉大詩人周游作詩的典故。文化關系著旅游產(chǎn)品的競爭力。文化旅游不是文化和旅游的單純相加，而是一種全新的模式在產(chǎn)生，旅游系吃，住，行，游，購，娛等因素，其實就是各種文化的組成。
會議嘉賓嘗試以不同角度尋求相關答案，解釋文化的重要性。這是推動全球旅游業(yè)的重要因素，但澳門及亞洲又有甚么旅游元素？它們的目標群是本地人、區(qū)域訪客，還是國際游客？
